Breakfast with The Horrors, acrylic on canvas board

This painting was inspired by the moment a normal breakfast routine collided with a particularly horrible onslaught of morning news. The floating perspective, disconnected objects, and the cracks spreading across the table reflect the surreal feeling of everything appearing normal on the surface while so many terrible things were happening elsewhere.
